About the Smosh account

Smosh is an YouTube account, there was made in 2005 by 2 guys, Anthony Padilla  and Ian Hecox. But their Website was made in 2002, and it was originally  started as a social network for Ian and Anthony, so they could chat with their friends. (Smosh.com) 

Anthony was the creater of Smosh. He first began to post flashmovies ect. His friend Ian began to join him, and they started Smosh. They began to post more and more videos, and they had  many views on YouTube and many subscribers. Now they are one of the most famous people on YouTube and have over 5 million subscribers(565.691.363) and over 1.7 billion video views(1.801.911.558). 

The name 'Smosh' came from an incident where Anthony mistook a friend explaining a mosh pit, as a "smosh". 

The 2 guys first met in their sixth grade science class. They became friends and discovered that they were both funny. In 2005, they joined YouTube and decided to make a YouTube account. 

Every friday, they upload a new episode on the YouTube channel Smosh.


Every year, Smosh make a video called Foodbattle. Food battle 2012:
